Hand conditions we treat
Our hand specialists are dedicated to diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions that affect the hand.

Causes may be genetic, environmental, or a combination of both. The most common congenital hand conditions include:

Some of the most common traumatic hand conditions include:
-

- dislocations
- fractures
- injuries: these may be of ligamentous nature (to the wrist or to the fingers), tendinous, nervous
Hand treatment: surgical procedures
Surgery is often a key part of treating many conditions affecting the upper limbs. Depending on the specific condition or malformation, different surgical techniques may be used.
At the MultiMedica hand surgery center, the most commonly used are arthroscopy and the microsurgery, together with endoscopic surgery and minimally invasive surgery.
Hand Rehabilitation
Whether or not surgery is required, hand rehabilitation is a crucial part of managing conditions and malformations of the hand.
A hand rehabilitation program may follow surgery or serve as the primary treatment approach. Our Hand Rehabilitation services are also available to patients who are not currently under the care of MultiMedica or are referred from outside our department.
