Guidelines for safe access to Healthcare Facilities

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and in accordance with national, regional, and local regulations, we have implemented specific protocols to ensure your safe access to our facility, and protect the health of both you and our staff.

Access

  • Access is permitted only if you are symptom-free (no cough, cold, sore throat, shortness of breath, flu-like symptoms, loss of smell or taste, diarrhea and/or vomiting, or muscle aches). If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, please contact your General Practitioner.
  • Masks are not mandatory in waiting areas, elevators, common areas, or outpatient clinics—except for vulnerable patients.
  • In inpatient wards, masks are mandatory, except for individuals with disabilities that prevent continuous mask use.
  • If you do not have a mask, our staff will provide you with one.

Ward Visits

  • Visitors must wear a mask correctly and follow all hygiene regulations.
  • One visitor at a time is allowed per patient. For visiting hours, please consult the facility’s webpage.
  • In intensive care units, access is at the physician’s (or designee’s) discretion, depending on clinical and organizational needs.
  • Access to COVID units follows the same regulations and is subject to approval by the ward physician. Proper PPE, including an FFP2 mask, is required.

VISITOR EXCEPTIONS

Access is always permitted for:

  • A parent or guardian accompanying a minor patient
  • A support person for a pregnant woman, including during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period
  • A caregiver or support person for patients in the following situations:
    • End-of-life care
    • Bedridden elderly patients over age 80
    • Patients with language barriers
    • Patients with a certified severe disability, as defined under Article 3, paragraph 3, of Law No. 104 (February 5, 1992)
