Advisory Board

Cardiologist, clinical epidemiologist, and perioperative care specialist, Professor Devereaux serves as Director of the Division of Perioperative Care at McMaster University, where he is also a Full Professor in the Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence, and Impact (HEI). He is Associate Deputy Director at the Population Health Research Institute and Scientific Lead of the Anesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine, and Surgery research group within the Institute.

He has published more than 330 peer-reviewed articles and over 80 book chapters, editorials, and scientific commentaries. He has delivered more than 900 lectures and scientific presentations across 40 countries. He is currently also President of the Society of Perioperative Research and Care.

Director of the Translational Oncology Research Unit at the Regina Elena National Cancer Institute, Professor Blandino has recently also been appointed Scientific Director of the Institute.

The mission of his Research Unit focuses on genomic and epigenetic alterations specific to solid tumors and hematopoietic neoplasms, with the goal of identifying new tumor biomarkers and pharmacological targets. In particular, Professor Blandino’s team is engaged in identifying predictive biomarkers (TP53 mutations, PI3K mutations, YAP, TAZ, and non-coding RNAs) for response to chemo-radiotherapy in various solid tumors.

Director of the TAU Kahn 3D BioPrinting Initiative, Ronit Satchi-Fainaro is Full Professor and Director of the Cancer Biology Research Center and the Laboratory for Nanomedicine at Tel Aviv University. She also holds the Kurt and Herman Lion Chair in Nanosciences and Nanotechnology.

Throughout her distinguished career, she has held several prestigious positions, including Chair of the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University (2014–2018), President of the Israeli Controlled Release Society (CRS) (2010–2015), and Chair of the Tel Aviv University IACUC Committee (2013–2017).
