Cardiovascular Center

Excellence in comprehensive cardiac care

The Cardiovascular and Metabolic Department is one of the flagship divisions of the MultiMedica Group. Since 2006, the MultiMedica Hospital in Sesto San Giovanni (MI) has been recognized by the Italian Ministry of Health as an IRCCS—a Scientific Institute for Research, Hospitalization, and Healthcare—specializing in cardiovascular diseases.

An IRCCS is a nationally accredited center of excellence, recognized for its ability to conduct both advanced patient care and high-level scientific research. These institutions are dedicated not only to treating patients but also to developing new therapies and improving clinical practices. IRCCS centers are part of a national network and collaborate closely with universities, research bodies, and other healthcare institutions—playing a key role in medical innovation and progress.

An integrated approach to cardiovascular health

The MultiMedica Cardiovascular Center offers comprehensive care for cardiovascular conditions—covering prevention, diagnosis, treatment (medical and surgical), home care, and scientific research.

  • Comprehensive Care
Patients are supported at every stage—from prevention through rehabilitation—thanks to the close collaboration among the specialized units within the Cardiovascular Department and a dedicated Multidisciplinary Team.
  • Cutting-edge Research
Our commitment to both translational and clinical research is backed by state-of-the-art labs and clinical facilities. Translational research allows us to bring innovations from the lab directly to the bedside, accelerating improvements in care and treatment.
  • Home Care Services
We also offer personalized care at home to support a faster, safer, and more comfortable recovery for our patients.

A Network of Excellence in Cardiovascular and Metabolic Care

Through to the synergy between the IRCCS MultiMedica and the MultiMedica Scientific and Technological Center (PST), our center is deeply involved in translational research—particularly in the areas of Heart Failure and Diabetes.

As part of the Ministry of Health’s effort to create National Networks of Excellence for Cardiovascular Diseases, IRCCS MultiMedica has been appointed to lead the Heart Failure Working Group and is an active member of the Arterial Hypertension, Diabetes, and Metabolic Complications Working Group.
