Occupational Medicine
In an increasingly complex regulatory environment, MultiMedica operates in the field of Occupational Medicine, offering tailored solutions and working in close collaboration with the various stakeholders: the company, the appointed occupational physician, and the workplace health and safety service. The MultiMedica Group provides companies with access to qualified healthcare facilities capable of managing all clinical and organizational needs.
The Occupational Medicine Service of the MultiMedica Group relies on a dedicated team (account manager, occupational physician, and administrative staff) able to address all regulatory requirements set out in Legislative Decree 81/2008 and subsequent amendments.
From the preparation of health protocols to medical examinations, the service keeps companies constantly updated on legislative changes. The proposed solutions support companies in tackling the increasingly complex and evolving issue of workplace health, carefully assessing occupational risks on a case-by-case basis.
Services and Procedural Steps
Appointment of the Occupational Physician
The Occupational Medicine Service office provides the necessary support with the formal requirements for appointing an occupational physician chosen from among the professionals working with the service.
On-site Workplace Visit
Once appointed, the occupational physician carries out at least one workplace inspection per year. The visit allows the collection of information regarding risk factors associated with all company roles and the definition of a specific medical protocol (Health Plan).
Drafting the Health Plan
Based on the medical protocol, a work plan is drawn up covering the medical examinations required for employees according to their specific job tasks. The Occupational Medicine Service office then schedules appointments and manages deadlines in agreement with the company, according to its operational needs.
Medical Services – Fitness for Work Assessments
According to the Health Plan, the required medical examinations are carried out. Services can be provided either at MultiMedica Occupational Medicine centers or directly at the client’s workplace, through our medical/healthcare staff.
Ongoing Planning
Follow-up checks and the next workplace visit are scheduled to ensure continuous support with compliance requirements.
Periodic Examinations
Performed at variable intervals depending on the risk level and current legislation (Legislative Decree 81/2008 and subsequent amendments).
Pre-employment Examinations
Useful both for the company, which can verify whether an employee may face limitations in certain environments, and for the employee, who should not risk a worsening of their health condition. Pre-employment examinations are conducted by specialists in Occupational Medicine (appointed occupational physician), in compliance with Legislative Decree 81/2008 and subsequent amendments.
